When Geopolitics Hits Luxury Hospitality: Why AI May Become a Strategic Lifeline for Hotels

This methodological note presents the protocol used for the integration of generative artificial intelligence tools in the writing process of this article.

This approach reflects a supervised and responsible use of AI, considered as a support tool for research, structuring, and reformulation, without replacing the author’s verification process or final editorial decisions.

The objective here is to establish a professional, transparent, and responsible tone.

– NanoBanana Pro: used to generate the visual illustration of the article based on precise textual instructions.

– Pexels & Google Image: used to find images with copywrites that look realistic for my article

Exploration, idea development and creativity

I began with a clear intention to address a current geopolitical issue and connect it to my thesis on artificial intelligence in the luxury hospitality industry. Due to my professional position in the finance sector, I was able to identify this topic as a relevant and timely subject, particularly regarding the potential economic consequences of geopolitical tensions between the United States and Iran. Through independent research, I identified a possible indirect financial impact on the hospitality sector. AI was then used to explore and develop this idea further and help transform it into a structured article aligned with the themes of my thesis.

Planning and organization

AI was used to structure and draft the article based on a detailed prompt describing the objective, the thesis topic, and the angle requested by my school. The prompt guided the tool to develop an article connecting geopolitical events with financial consequences for the hospitality industry while supporting each claim with evidence. This allowed the content to follow a coherent structure aligned with the editorial expectations of an article linked to my thesis.

Writing and articulation

AI generated the first full draft of the article. I then reviewed the text carefully and adjusted it so that it reflected my personal writing style. To achieve this, I provided the tool with several of my previous writing samples and asked it to adapt the tone, vocabulary, and structure accordingly. The article was then reviewed again to ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency with my intended message.

Ethics, sources and hallucinations

Special attention was given to the accuracy of the information generated by AI. I reviewed the article to ensure that no incorrect or fabricated data were included and that each argument remained credible. The final responsibility for the verification of the information and the publication of the article remained entirely mine.

One mistake was noted on a data originaly Chat GPT said that 10% of the world’s oil and Gas was transiting through the detroit of Ormuz meanwhile, it’s actually 20%

Images used in the article were sourced from Pexels and the free image tools available through Google, ensuring the use of accessible and royalty-free visual content.
